UNITUS F/W 15 collection

Driven by the manifesto “Gentleman at Play,” UNITUS enters the market with a range of elegant menswear. The Japanese label draws on distinctly Western style, re-fixing conventional silhouettes with modern tailoring to great result. The choice of materials could be described as poignant, as the collection makes use of waxed cotton for the main textile, produced by established New York manufacturer Fairfield Textile. To be certain, UNITUS is turning to a distinctly classic look through a preference of turtlenecks and high-waisted trousers, while the favoritism for wide-brimmed hats is hard to miss.

Benjamin Edgar Or Whatever collection

Playing with a mundane object in a precious material to create something almost completely useless but incredibly satisfying to hold.  This object sums up the more “whatever” side of Benjamin Edgar – unexpected, unneeded, beautiful.  Satisfyingly heavy, somewhat fragile.

marble hanger $190.00

Carbon fiber hanger $300.00

Ghost bag $410.00

 For aesthetics only candle $26.00

What’s your closet situation look like? How many dry cleaner wire hangers do you have holding up your shirts? Do you even have a closet or are you forced to put everything in a dresser where they’re hidden from nosy visitors, thus not flexing at all? You gotta have a few clothing items hanging on a rack or in your closet with the door slightly ajar so people can see them. And, most importantly, you gotta have hangers that aren’t pieces of garbage from IKEA or your local dry cleaner. You’re not in college anymore, fam. Or maybe you are, but in that case you still need to prove to other kids that you’re better than them. The best way to do that? Buying egregiously expensive hangers. No, I’m not talking about wooden ones or even joints with molded shoulders. Sure, those are pretty nice, but we want something even more unnecessary, like these marble or carbon fiber hangers from Benjamin Edgar, who also has some other, less expensive things you may consider purchasing.

.Engaging seasonal prints include the desert stargazing inspired Polka Dot and geometric Sequence, which pulls from shapes that compliment modernist dwellings. Martin Asbjørn SS 2015 LookBook

Adding another notch in Scandinavia’s already impressive list of menswear designers is Martin Asbjørn Bjerre, who returns with his fifth collection. Inspired by the casually confident men featured in Richard Hawkins’ seminal ’90s collage work, the collection pairs oversized, draped shapes with tight-fitted rock’n’ roll cuts to create a cohesive silhouette. Of particular note for Fall/Winter 2015 are the outerwear options, specifically the suede fringe jacket, black biker shearling jacket, biker down and the fuzzy wool oversized coat.
